Suggested Tune SHELTERED DALE (8.6.8.6.8.6.) German Traditional Melody

1. Why tremble for the end of days;
the bitter day of wrath?
Are we not children of the Way,
who walk God's grace-filled path?
Why fear destruction's dusty haze
when Jesus holds us fast?

2. We only fear the waste of days
before the Lord returns,
and hate to think that any Gift
lies fallow or is spurned.
So many lost - and we must shine
in time for them to turn.

3. We cannot know the hour nor day
when we will join our Lord,
why waste our time so fruitlessly
on haggling over words
like pre- and post-millennial -
Let's make the gospel heard!

4. It matters not just when or how
that day will fin'lly come,
what matters is that here and now
we give ourselves to love.
Love has not fear, and when He comes,
into His arms we'll run!
