1. Eagerly we wait and pray,
yet the waiting seems so long;
waiting for the wedding day:
until then, Lord, keep us strong
When the world grows dark it seems
only the heartless can survive,
only the ruthless ones will thrive
We know that's wrong - you make the weak strong
'til your glory day arrives!

2.  Suffering and pain abound
in this sinful broken world.
Where can righteousness be found?
Lord, have mercy on us all!
Hear our cry, we call on your Name:
You are the Potter, gave us form;
You are the Parent of us all;
Save us, O Lord, once more to be yours,
and to serve you in this world.

3.  Eagerly we watch and serve,
working for that glorious day,
longing for our Lord's return;
'Tis our hope along the way.
This is hope, of this we are sure:
Heaven and Earth may pass away;
Yet His Word will not pass away!
Those who belong to Him, He makes strong
Every step along the way.
