1. Oh for a word to use to rave
in praise of God's great gift;
that ludicrous love that Jesus gave,
a love that has no "if".

2.  Oh for a word that grasps it all:
how high He lets me fly,
to lift me again each time I fall
with love that asks no "why".

3.  'Twould be a word like none before
with only present tense,
my past mistakes remembered no more
no record of offence.

4.  Oh for a word to plumb the depths
of God's great love for me,
and measure in full my heart's vast debt
to Him whose love is free!
